Weeks 20 & 21: It's a BOY, Happy Anniversary!

It's a Baby Boy Camden James!!! I knew it all along ;) We were sitting in the Ultrasound room, and the tech was searching and searching for that notorious "boy indicator" and she wasn't finding anything since the umbilical cord was blocking her view. She kept digging around trying to get at it at different angles, and still, wasn't finding anything... both her and Dennis were starting to mumble "looks like it's leaning towards a girrrllll....." I said, "no way, (especially after she told me the heart rate was 134 bpm) keep looking!" So the tech then had me lay on my side to move the umbilical cord, and sure enough, she almost instantly said, "Oh, there it is! Yep, it's a boy!" We were gleaming during the entire viewing... it's just amazing... you see this incredibly formed spinal cord, this little beating heart, a tiny complex brain, a bitty nose, swallowing, curling fingers and toes waving at you.... absolutely breathtaking. Lil Camden even shot us a "Hang Loose" with his hand in one of the pictures! Dennis is beyond proud.

We instantly shared the news with our family, and then with the rest of the world. Completely ignored our whole plan to put it in an envelope and read it in Sedona... we were too excited... of course! Mom has instantly began a shopping rampage ;) It is SO fun to look at clothes now that we know.

We headed to Sedona the next day to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. Very hard to believe a year has already passed, but considering so much has happened in our past year, I'm surprised it doesn't feel like it's been way longer! I guess such a memorable day will just always stand out as if it were just yesterday. We hung at Sky Ranch Lodge's wine bar Friday night for quite some time, enjoyed watching and listening to the rain all around us, and then headed to Sound Bites for dinner & live music. We shared a lobster bisque, mango pineapple salmon & chicken lettuce wraps. Saturday morning we hit Mesa Grill at the airport, where our rehearsal dinner was, and had their amazing huevos rancheros along with the famous lemon ricotta pancakes... amazing. Then headed to the West Fork hike along Oak Creek Canyon. One of the most gorgeous (and different!) hikes I've ever done. 2 Miles in, 2 Miles out, 4 Hours, luckily not much elevation gain or I wouldn't have made it... just lots of ups and downs and crossing over the creek. At the very end, you wade through thigh deep water to get to your own private little hang out (since most people don't like to get that deep into the water) and wow, it was gorgeous and very relaxing after a long hike in. Afterwards, we immediately headed to Oak Creek Brewery to stuff our faces with Hot Dogs / Brats, pickles, chips, pop corn, peanuts, beer (dennis) & root beer (lauren). I was STARVING! They had a guitarist playing too. And Dennis filled his first Oak Creek Growler to add to our collection before we left. Since it was such a late lunch / early dinner, we weren't very hungry that night so we just headed to the Cowboy Club downtown for a light soup/salad, and got dessert at the bakery next door :) Sunday morning, we had breakfast at "The Secret Garden Cafe" before heading out...a breakfast burrito and banana walnut muffin... delicious, but we laughed when we saw we were charged $8 for a glass of orange juice!! That's Sedona for ya ;) It was a most wonderful weekend; we can't wait to experience all the adventures of our 2nd year of marriage...together :)

Weeks 17-19: Cali, Baylee, and Miss Maren's Bachelorette!

Well my wish came true, the last 3 weeks have flown, if it isn't evident by my lack of updates. We did our Cali trip for Denny's 36th birthday, had Baylee's first trip up to Prescott, traveled down to Phoenix for Miss Maren's Bachelorette, all while madly working on the house in between!

Cali was great, Dennis got to hit the waves, although not the best waves, he was still completely excited and little-boy-giddish over it, and got to hang with Norio. We had our own little private b-day dinner at Sushi on Fire and had what tasted like the best sushi ever, a group dinner with Shawna, Matty & Nick (Megan was in France) at our faaavorite local place, Cucina Alessa, and a little brunch with Jon, Amber  & baby Liam at our fav Sit & Stay Cafe in Huntington before we left town! Was awesome to see everyone. Baylee's first trip up was a success- he was on high hunting alert, and never took a nap the entire time he was here. Dad helped me hang just about every picture frame in the house.. he's always looking to be a helping hand, and such help he is <3 And lastly, Maren's Bachelorette party was a fun success! Lots of cute, customized presents, gorgeous decorations, food galore, fun times at the pool slide & toasting s'mores, and an awesome "panties game" to wrap up the night. After this game was played, it was completely obvious how well these two love-birds know each other, and how ready they are for a blissful wedding in Hawaii in just 2 months :)

Dennis has completely stripped the deck so it's all wood showing now, and lifted a portion to level it. We now just have to build new steps up to the deck, sand, and refinish, but need to wait for monsoon season to end before we can get at that! Looks amazing and 100% better. Trimmed all our tree's... the Maple and Apple tree took a few minutes with pruning shears... the Juniper pine took a few days with a chain saw, hack saw, axe, and pruning shears. Those limbs were damn strong and needing major re-shaping. We got our new couch and painted the den where the couch now resides, so that room is pretty much complete. The room looks like an entirely new house, and is so comfy, Dennis & I keep fighting our eyelids at night while cuddling up on it... a good and bad thing ;) I've been stripping wall paper like crazy next to the fire place and in the dining/kitchen area. The fireplace took a portion of a day... the dining/kitchen is being annoying and is proving to be a very tedious effort, but getting there. We want these areas ready to paint before we have the new kitchen counters & flooring installed, though we probably won't paint until after so we can best choose the color. We've decided to put a gold/white/brown/black granite called "Golden Sand" in the Kitchen, and we think we've decided on a Distressed Kinsley Hickory for the floor, which will go in the kitchen, dining, living, and hallways. Will be so nice! Now just have to coordinate the install for all of the above. I've also been growing our collection of nursery items (which Dennis wishes I'd slow down on until after the flooring remodel is complete... but hey, I'm in the nesting mood ;) Purchased our crib, mattress & pad, sheets, glider (awesome Craigslist find!), swing/rocker (thanks momma), a boppy nursing pillow, nursing pads, bottles, a sleep sack, and some clothes. But I really need to wait on the clothes... my "gender neutral" selections seem to be slightly boyish swayed. But that's ok because in ONE week, we shall know!!!! Finally!

Weeks 15 & 16: At Home

The past 2 weeks have been incredibly busy. So much, in fact, that somehow between my Dr. appointment last month and this month, I found out I actually lost a pound :/ I didn't like hearing that... especially when seeing my belly really starting to expand, it just doesn't add up to me that I would be lighter than the prior month. I chalk it up to the move, getting settled in to our new home, eating healthy, staying active... and well, I still feel like I can't keep up with my hunger. I guess it is time to buy some fatter foods and just start eating a little more "junk" from time to time. Bring on the burgers, fries, ice cream, and brownies ;) I want to be at least 4 pounds heavier at the next appointment and follow this whole "1 pound per week" rule. 9:00am... and yep, starting to feel hungry already. I'm convinced we have a giant baby in there stealing all my nutrients!

So yes, we are now in our new home, and absolutely loving it. We feel so comfortable here, and soo happy to call this our home. We've already gone to town working on the deck (and Dennis stepped on a nail in the process), ordered a new couch for the Den (being delivered today!), which then lead us to paint the Den to be ready for the couch, and we have unpacked and put away every single box. We love the layout, it's very very practical, best utilizes sunlight at all hours, and we get the most incredible painted sunsets every single night. After Dennis feels "satisfied" with the Deck project, we'll probably start peeling wall paper in the Kitchen & Dining, and paint... followed by my most anticipated project: the nursery.

I'm starting to conjure up some paint ideas for the baby's room. If it's a girl, I'd like to either do purples & tans, or coral & yellows/tans. If it's a boy I'm thinking greens & yellows/tans. Either way, it will have to match oak furniture & giraffe/safari decor! 4 more weeks until we get to find out... eee!

In the mean time, we'll be staying busy (still)... we head to CA this weekend for Denny's Birthday, I think my parents are coming up the weekend after (and bringing the beeze-man for the first time!!!), the 24th-25th will be Maren's Bachelorette Partay, then Labor Day, thennnn we find out boy or girl & head to Sedona to celebrate 1 year of wedding bells :) I'll enjoy this next month big time, but... really wouldn't mind the weeks going by slightly fast so we can hurry up and find out...!

Week 14: Baby's Gotta New Home!

It's moving weekend! Just got the call from the realtor that we have officially closed on the house, and now just waiting for her next call so I can go pick up our key! We won't technically have access to the place until about 4pm tomorrow, when I have carpet cleaners scheduled to come do the whole house. And the big moving day will be Sunday... we're picking up the U-Haul and my parents are meeting us up here to give us a helping hand with all the heavy stuff. Dennis & I were able to complete our move to Prescott all on our very own, but with me being pregger, I guess there is a limitation to how much I can lift ;) We can't wait to get in the house so we can start making it our own and envisioning what we want to do with certain rooms! It only took us a year and a half of trial & error to finally end up in OUR home... The House of Lamb!

Tummy has very much grown this week (even though people still probably laugh when I try to show off my bump, it is growing to quite an impressive size to me, and all I want to do is snap photos of it and show it off! I love the bump. He or she is the size of a lemon already, about 3.5" long. We'll be heading to a 16 week appointment in 2 weeks, and then I've scheduled the big 20 week gender reveal appointment for Thursday, September 5th. I wanted to make it for that Friday, before we head to Sedona to celebrate our 1 year anniversary, but the Ultrasound Tech was out that day... so Thursday it is. As of now, I'm wanting to have the Dr. write the baby's gender on a card in a sealed envelope and we'll later open it once we're in Sedona. That would be so cool if we can actually have the will power to wait until then. I would love to open it at the top of an awesome hike.

I've made two baby purchases this week, as well as received an adorable gift from G-Mama Lamb in the mail! She sent us a "Mr. Lambers" Belly Blanket that is the cutest, softest thing I've ever seen :) Then I found the most perfect blanky that is microfiber fleece, kiwi with white polka dots, with a baby Giraffe on the front, and I ordered a ERGOBaby Baby Carrier today off amazon. It looks amazingly comfortable, has back support, cushy shoulder straps, and will last allll the way until baby weighs about 40 pounds (supposedly). I won't receive it for about a month as it's being grouped with a infant insert i also ordered that wasn't in stock.

And, just got the text that our KEYS to the new home have ARRIVED! Off I go!!

Appetite holding strong... just a typical Sunday mornin' breakfast ;)

Week 12 & 13: Birthday and Keuka NY

Constant hunger. I've always had quite an appetite, but seriously, after having a full breakfast at 6:30am consisting of a fried egg, english muffin and mixed fruit, I just felt compelled to buy a 6" Italian BMT at Subway and devoured it by 10:15am, and still feeling hungry. With no doubt, I will be hungry for another full lunch in about 2 hours. Oye! It's been 2 weeks without an update- NY kind of interfered with that! So lots of updates, but I'll try to keep it brief.

2 weeks ago, we celebrated my Birthday a few days early down in Phoenix. Dennis & I had a sushi dinner at Sapporo (shh, at least I kept it mostly to Salmon sushi and a little Yellowtail) our favvvvorite. He surprised me with two 60 minute prenatal massages, 1 for each of my remaining trimesters. It made me cry, ha!! He always surprises me and makes me feel so special, reminding me why I love him so... that, and ya know, hormones ;) We headed to dessert at Flemmings after dinner, and had ordered our reminiscent chocolate souffle, however, they've apparently switched to a chocolate lava cake. Combined with two Lattes and ice cream, it was heaven.  The next day Dennis headed back to Prescott to get some extra work hours in before NY, so I had a date with Maren, just the two of us like old times :) We headed to her favorite vegan restaurant called The Loving Hut, and ordered a yellow curry dish with fried rice- amazing! Was so great to see her, and she gifted me my first stretch mark oil & body cream, along with some pregger herbal teas, yum! Monday was my actual birthday, so I headed to Fountain Hills for a bday lunch with Nanni at my old college-days employer, EuroPizza, and headed to a Physical Therapy appointment for her after we grubbed. Was good to spend some time with my Nanni :) The next day was a catch up session with Lizzy, Augustine & Baby Ella! We went to El Dorado Aquatic Center which was so perfect for the little ones, they had such a blast, "big boy" Augustine didn't quite want to leave when it was time to! It was so fun.

I dropped Beezer off at doggy-day-care on Wednesday and Denny met me back at my parents house. Moments later, we were headed to the airport and finally en route back to good ol' Keuka Lake, NY. It was such a quick trip, but I am sooo so so glad we got to go. We're already hoping for a trip next summer. That place is just full of memories and nostalgia, and truly feels like home being on the lake. It was awesome introducing Dennis to the remaining family members he had yet to meet (Aunt Nancy, Uncle Ernie, Uncle Pete, and the entire Wheeler clan). We pretty much fell asleep on the boat as soon as we reached the lake Thursday afternoon, which is the most relaxing place you will ever fall asleep. Enjoyed some slices of Betty-Kay Birthday Carrot Cake before dinner (not too smart ha) and then further stuffed our already stuffed stomachs at the Switz. Friday, we met up with Aunt Nancy & Ernie at Bully Hill for some NY Wine Tasting, later visiting Heron Hill, Dr. Franks, and Keuka Brewing Co. as well. Dennis loved it! Later we had some lunch (and a continued happy hour) on our cottage dock, and before we knew, it was time to get ready for dinner with the Wheelers at the Waterfront. We took the boat over across the lake in windy conditions, and my Dad about took out their patio seating area while trying to dock the boat. Naturally, my Grandpa said "Clearly, he's been livin' in Arizona too long and has forgotten how to navigate in water ;)" Was great to see everyone there, and my Grandma did pretty well for such a long outing. My favorite part of the night was Grandma saying: "So your last name is Lamb now... I like Lamb Chops." Made me giggle. My Grandpa & her are so good to each other and still play around and mock each other after all these years. I love that I come from a line of families I can look up to and model myself after. Early mornin' Saturday, Dennis, Mom & Dad took their turns water skiing on the glassy lake. They all got up first try, no wipe-outs, but a close call for Dad ha! My lovey Christine came to visit a bit later, we took a picnic lunch out on the boat (despite the clouds, again!) and hung out for a long while. We then got ready for Dinner in Watkins Glen with Nancy, Ernie, Pat & Pete, but got to meet up with Brockway & his Fiance Lori first for a quick bit before. Dinner was at the Seneca Lodge, Patty brought our baby's first book, "Lots of Lambs"... it's absolutely adorable. After stuffing ourselves with some amazing ribs, we somehow found it in us to head to Dad's most favorite past-time ice cream joint, "The Great Escape". YUM. We always went there whenever I had a soccer game in Watkins Glen. We said our sad good-byes and returned to the cottage for one last evening. Listened to the sound of the waves hitting the wall, watched out over the lake at all the cottages dimly lit, and tried hard to soak it all in until we can next return.

Baby traveled just fine in my belly, although, seems to have grown quite a bit in the last 2 weeks! I'm officially saying good-bye to the 1st trimester, and headed into the 2nd. Ready to move into our new home next weekend, for a return trip to Cali for Dennis' birthday in August, an anniversary trip to Sedona in September, Maren & JP's October wedding in Oahu, Thanksgiving, Christmas, 2014... then ready to meet our BABE! <3

Week 11: Heart

This week has been filled with Heart.

First, we received confirmation that we needed to be out of our rental home by the end of July. So for about a week, we thought we'd be needing to find a place to live for a month, until we could move into our new home. That option was most likely going to be a costly 5 week long Hotel stay, Monday-Thursday nights, and driving back and forth to Phoenix every weekend to save money and stay with my parents. It would have been a very difficult month. And then to our heart's surprise, we found out late Tuesday that the Sellers have actually accepted an offer on a new home, set to close July 26th, and we would have the ability to move in by the 28th, ironically enough, the same day we need to be out of our rental. On top of that, their Handyman they wanted to use for the repairs was booked the whole month of July, so they are now using a licensed contractor as we had first asked for!! Couldn't have worked out any better, although we realize they still need to get through an escrow process now, and we are still waiting on our appraisal, which should come in today.

In very sad news this week, and with very Heavy Hearts, there was another wildfire that broke out near the town of Yarnell about 30 miles southwest of Prescott. It started small on Friday evening, then blew out of control Sunday when monsoon storms (without rain) came gusting through and sooo sadly overcame 19 of our Prescott Hotshot Firefighters. This is the worst firefighter casualties since LA's Griffith Park fire in 1944 (besides 9/11 of course). It has devastated the town and broken so many hearts, but it's at least heart-warming to see so many members of our community putting up honorary memorials all over town for these brave 19 men and their families. Posters, flags, purple ribbons, flowers, pictures, you name it... people are finding a way to express their deep sorrows and sympathies for this. It will never be forgotten. We owe our own personal thank you to this very crew who helped save our lives and possessions from the Doce Fire just 2 weeks ago. They are everyone's personal heroes in this town. Blessings and severe gratitude to each of them. We went to the Prescott Rodeo yesterday to celebrate the 4th, they did such a nice tribute to the fallen men, and recited a prayer. The rodeo was very fun to watch (although nerve-wracking with some of the stunts they pull... man!)

And lastly for our Happy Heart experience this week. I had to reschedule my Dr. appointment that was on my birthday to today, July 5th, as we are heading down to Phoenix tonight to babysit Baylee until we leave for NY on Wednesday night. Dennis has to return to be able to work Sunday-Wednesday, but I'll be staying down there to keep babysitting and have some birthday dinners/lunches with Nani & Maren, and meeting up with Liz Tuesday to finally meet her little girl Ella! So, went to the Doc today instead, and I was soooo excited to hear our little baby's heart beating very strong, this time at 162 bpm! It was absolutely the best birthday gift I've ever received to be able to hear that heartbeat again (for the first time using the Doppler!) I couldn't ask for anything else, purely grateful <3

10 Weeks: Now "Showing"!

Well it happened: I had my first person ask me if I am expecting! Daring individual, I'd say, as being only 10 weeks pregnant, it mostly looks like I just drank a little too much beer over the weekend. But considering the character, I'm not surprised she asked! It was the listing agent of the house we are purchasing, a 5 ft. fire-ball older German lady. "OH! Child, are you ex-pect-ing?! Oh my GOODness! You are tiny for 10 weeks!!" (Me thinking, Yeah! I can't believe you actually asked ha!!!) But in fairness, I was wearing a tight little polka-dot tank top as pictured below, and yes, it definitely highlights a belly if you got one goin' on. I may have been just slightly soliciting baby inquiries.

Our home inspection went pretty well, and we are now in the midst of negotiations with the seller as to what they will fix and how. Coming down to a "Handyman" vs. and "Licensed Contractor" to do the repairs. We also switched lenders this week and got a much better deal on interest rates, and are all locked in. However, this weeks absolute bombshell was discovering our property management company for the home we are renting is serving us with 30 days notice, to be vacated by July 31st, since we didn't want to sign a lease through the winter (even though a month-to-month option was supposed to be available!!). Since we need to rent back to the owners of the home we are purchasing for a month after close (until August 31), this presents a problem! A Husband & his Pregger-Wife really do not feel like moving twice in the matter of a single month. So we are now trying to work with Property Management in order to try and stay here through August. We'll see how far that gets.

On a side-note, Dennis is developing his own pregnancy symptoms now: cravings for peanut-butter-pickle sandwiches (so weird.) and lots of ice cream. The ice cream is his normal behavior though. I just laugh when I see him go crazy over making a freakin PB-Pickle sandwich!!!! We played 9 holes of golf last weekend (my first time playing on a full-size course that practically requires a cart or you'd be exhausted just from walking). I gave myself the big snowman (8) on every hole. I didn't say I was good. We also checked out the Prescott Bluegrass festival downtown which was so laid back and fun. Just lounged in the shaded grass, munched on some street tacos, watched lots of doggies playing & little ones dancing around and smiled as we envisioned our own babes and puppy joining us someday soon! It's such a pleasant town, always something going on :)

Lastly, I did two interviews this week which seemed kind of promising. I interviewed with the Director of Patient Financial Services at the hospital for an "AR Maintenance Tech" position that sounded quite under-challenging, and ultimately decided they have a position approved to begin in October for a "Computer Coordinator" that I sounded like a much better match for. So she will be contacting me in August for interviewing for that. Then the real jaw-dropping interview: a Health Educator (a.k.a. Sex Education) through North Star, a division of Catholic Charities Community Services. I would be presenting sexual "health" education to either Middle School Boys, or High School Boys & Girls, part-time throughout the school year. Haha! But it actually sounds quite interesting and I think I could be really good at it! I also applied to a Marketing Specialist position for the Center of Performing Arts at a local college this week. I SO want the chance to interview for that one!! I would LOVE that! Time will tell what my next "gig" shall be, besides the obvious: mommy-hood <3

9 Weeks: Oh, What a Week...!

How many major life events can possibly be engaged simultaneously? Well, besides the fact that we were married 9 1/2 months ago, we are now pregnant, in escrow, I'm in the midst of job interviews, and yep, we've even stood guard to a major Forest Fire in Prescott this week. Oh, did I say, escrow???

YEP!!

We had a house offer accepted over the weekend (third try was a charm)! The house is our dream home, atop a hill with spanning mountain views, on a level half acre of kid-friendly play space, 1610 sq ft. + a basement (just like back east!), 3 beds, 2 baths, a spare den, stone-hearth fire place, a wrap-around porch, trees, one of which being a huge red-delicious apple tree :) It also has a 2 car garage under the house, with interior stairs connecting you to main level, and the driveway encircles the house on the main level in the front and to the garage in the back. All we would like to do to the place (pending a good inspection) is possibly put in some new flooring in certain rooms, strip some wall paper and paint, and eventually some new counter tops to upgrade the kitchen. As of now, close of escrow will be July 30th, but we may rent back to the couple for a month while they figure out their next step... that hasn't been confirmed yet. So we're looking at a August or early September move-in... hooooray! Fingers crossed on the inspection though first.

Did I also mention Forest Fire? Yes. Living IN the forest, is a little scary in terms of that. This was a human inflicted fire, but has spread to about 7000 acres last I've heard. Began just 2.5 miles north of us near one of our favorite hiking areas in Granite Mountain. We stood-by on possible evacuation notice for about 6 hours Tuesday (after it began around 11:30am), so I packed up as many of our important irreplaceable items as fast as possible in the event we needed to leave. Luckily, as the sun started to slip down, we had enough insight that the fire had only moved further northeast of us (along with all the smoke) and that we would be safe to sleep at home. Two days later, the fire continues on, still at 0% containment, however, I can't even see a trace of smoke in the air from our house, quite a change from Tuesday. Sounds like the Fire Teams are getting their hands on this and "holding their own". Luckily our new home will be on the opposite end of town and not IN the national forest!

So now, back to Baby updates :) My parents came up last weekend for Father's Day; my mom cleaned out her closet of clothes that she once found fashionable, but no longer does (you know, the "maternity" style loose/baggy clothing that was in style, or maybe still is? Well, she bought quite a few of those items in the past few years.... and now they are mine all mine!!) I'm wearing them already :) Loose stretchy clothes are my friend right now. We hung out at all the events with live music downtown, and I sent the boys golfing again for Papa's Day. Went back to visit my Dr. for the second time this morning- it was rather uneventful. He pretty much told me everything looks good from my lab work, to the ultrasound, my blood pressure, and weight (gained 3 pounds so far, but that's good because I was slightly underweight when I first weighed in). I've gone from 131 to 134 lbs. It was too early to try and hear the heartbeat using a Doppler, so I go back in 3 weeks, on my BIRTHDAY, July 8 (!!!) to hear the heartbeat again! I will be just about 12 weeks then, but have to go a few days early as we'll be leaving for New York. I'll be comfortable officially announcing after that appointment. As always, simply can't wait :)

8 Weeks: 2 Months!

Today marks 2 Months! Today has also been my most nauseous feeling day yet, but still no up-chucking thankfully. Had to take a day off from house hunting as it's tiring me out!!

Our Ultrasound appointment went great last week. We heard the pitter patter heart beating at 120bpm, and couldn't wipe the smiles off our faces. What a miraculous relief and amazing sound to hear. We also got our first few pictures of Baby Lamb and I found that by turning the close-up picture upside down I could actually make out the head, eyes, arms & legs! Incredible. But I can't believe I have to wait another 12 weeks to see our baby again! Hopefully we can at least hear the heart beat again at my Dr. appointment next Thursday. I should also get my lab work read to me.

I shared the news with Uncle Nic & Aunt Megan about 2 weeks ago now... Nic had called on one of his ritual driving to/from school calls, and had asked what else was new, so I said, "actualllly, there is something! Guess."

So first he guesses, "You'rrrre moving back to Cali?"

"Ha, no."

2nd he guesses, "You'rrrre adopting Baylee?"

"Nope! But getting closer...."

3rd guess, "You'rrrre having a Baby"

"Yep! Ready to be Uncle Nicky?!?"

And he gave me his usual "Oooohohohohoh, oh boy!"

He then proceeded to tell me he's still on the 5 year plan for kids. I told him he has next summer to get married, and then 1 or 2 more years before they better start joining the club... I want my kiddos to have like-aged cousins to visit when we go for beach trips!!

I told Auntie Megan shortly after, by texting her a picture of Dennis & I cheersing (him with wine, me with milk in a wine glass) and telling her we'll be needing an extra invite to their wedding next July ;) She shrieked with excitement!

We told all the rest of our closest friends and family (pretty much our bridal party, Grandparents, Aunts/Uncles, the NY ladies) immediately following the Ultrasound. It was so euphoric to share in that excitement with them. We'll now wait until my birthday on July 8 (when I will almost be 12 weeks along) to announce to everyone else. And just a few days after that, we'll be hopping on a plane to Keuka Lake <3 I am beyond excited.
